Opportunity to serve with LOPC at Respite Night and Friendship Circle
Date: December 1
Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm
MVPC is teaming with our friends at Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church (LOPC) in serving our special needs community. Offered on the first Friday of the month, Friday Fun Night (formerly Respite Night) is an opportunity for parents to drop off their children with special needs at LOPC for a fun-filled event so that parents can have an evening to themselves. All children and youth with special needs (and their siblings), Kindergarten – 22 years of age, are invited and welcome to attend an evening of fun and games while our trained, background-checked, and fully vaccinated staff will care for them. Advance registration is required.
To register, contact Susan at: susan@lopc.org
We will also help serve with LOPC the third Thursday of the month with their Friendship Circle.
The Friendship Circle is a group serving special needs kids who are freshman in high school through young adult transition programs. This is an evening of fellowship with art and crafts projects, games and other social activities. We have buddies that are from local high schools and colleges joining us for the evening to help run the program. Please reach out to susan@lopc.org to register or get more information about this program.
