The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone! 
Small groups are the best place to develop authentic friendships, study God’s word, and grow in faith. 

New Community Groups will launch the week of March 9 and will last through May 18,
 with a week off for both Spring Break and Holy Week. We believe every person at MVPC should BELONG in community with other people! We’ll provide the materials and tools to help you build meaningful friendships and grow in your faith.

Facilitate a Community Group

As a facilitator of a Community Group (CG), you play a key role in helping people connect with each other in meaningful ways to share life and grow in their faith. 

The purpose of our CGs is to:

Develop Community – A Community Group is a great place to grow in a relationship with Jesus. A facilitator helps maintain a safe place for participants to process questions, share what they are learning, deepen their understanding of God, and hold each other accountable. Many have found that having a group where they can be themselves and share life together is crucial for their spiritual growth.

Reach our Community – We want our Community Groups to be one of the primary ways that we reach our community with the gospel. Our goal is to have each community group participate in one or two events a year that allow for relationships to develop between people in the group and some of their friends and neighbors who do not yet follow Jesus. Groups can do this by participating in some of the service opportunities available through the church or hosting informal gatherings, such as a backyard BBQ. These should be natural, easy chances to develop relationships and love our neighbors.
